Costa Rica and Nicaragua are two Central American countries that offer a wide variety of tourist attractions for visitors from around the world. Both countries are known for their natural beauty, rich culture, and hospitality.
Entry Requirements:
Swiss citizens require a valid passport to enter Costa Rica, which must be valid for 6 months after the return date. For more information on the regulations related to the current pandemic, please refer to the documents.
Health:
The risk of malaria is minimal or low. Obtain timely information from your doctor regarding protection against infections, vaccinations, as well as other prophylactic measures.
Currency:
The local currency is the Colón, which can be exchanged relatively easily at banks, exchange offices, and certain hotels.
Language:
The official language is Spanish, but English and Creole are also spoken.
